This recipe is based from one of my favorite cook on tv, Martha Stewart. Here’s her recipe http://www.marthastewart.com/336484/blondies-with-chocolate-chips-and-walnut
I was actually wondering why there’s no baking powder on her recipe. It did still turned out good without it. But next time, I’ll put one to make it a little fluffy.
Chocolate Cherry Blondie
Yields: 2 8-inch square baking pans
2 cups of all purpose flour (use spoon to fill up the measuring cup then level the flour with the spoon handle)
2 sticks of butter (room temp.)
2 tsps of pure vanilla extract
2 tsps of salt
3/4 cup of brown sugar (or make it 2 cups if you want it sweeter)
2/3 of white sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (for this recipe, I used Trader Joe’s brand)
1 cup of chopped baking pecans or other nuts you have
1/2 cup of dried cherries/cranberries
Preheat Oven @ 350°.
Put butter and sugars in the mixing bowl. With the paddle attached, whip butter and sugars until combined.
Mix eggs and vanilla extract until combined.
Put flour, 1/2 cup at a time. Mix until just combined.
Using spatula, mix chocolate chips, nuts and dried fruits.
Divide mixture on the baking pans.
Put them in the oven for 15-20 minutes (which is half time stated on Martha’s recipe).
Cut blondies when cool.
