Hawaii Day 1: Aloha to Big Island

After exhausting weeks, the 3 of us are now heading to a glorious vacation in the rainbow state, Hawaii  (it reminds me of the saying…after rain comes a rainbow). This is our second time visiting beautiful Hawaii. In 2009, we visited the islands-Kauai and Oahu. And I was in my first trimester with my adorable son and only kid right now. We want to bring him back and be able to see it this time in the Big Island and Maui. It’s going to be our first time on these 2 islands. We chose Hawaii this year since the flight time is reasonable for a three year old. He’s a great flyer and an easy kid ever since… I’m a lucky mom. Another great thing about it,  we don’t have to leave the country to experience a piece of heaven!

It was almost lunch time when we landed to Big Island so we were starving. This restaurant is about 15 minutes from Kona airport. We ordered fish and chips and shrimp stir fry.

Time to go to the resort –Paniolo Greens Resort.

This resort is like in the middle of nowhere but once you get there, there are stores and restaurants close by.
