Hawaii Day 7: Mauna Kea Beach, Seafood Lunch, Big Island Style Shave Ice

Our one last night at Big Island :(. We decided to take it easy today. We just want to spend some more time on the beach so we went to Mauna Kea Beach. It is open to public and no fee but you have to go to the gate and they give you a beach pass. The beach was one of the top snorkeling spot but today the beach is a little rough. But we still had fun soaking in the soft sand and warm water.

After the beach time, we went to Harbor Grill and Seafood Bar. I love the grilled fish.

It’s hot in Kona. The temp says low 80s on the forecast, but it feels like 90s. To cool us down and since my husband can’t stop yawning while driving in a hot weather, we stopped for shave ice at Anuenue Shave Ice.
Shave ice – banana, watermelon and guava with Mac nut ice cream inside.

After cooling down, we went to Waikoloa Beach Drive and went to the supermarket to get sandwiches for dinner. Then soaked at the resort’s pool for one last time.
