Thai Beef With Basil


Ground beef and basil make meatballs in marinara sauce? Nope, not this time. Well, that’s what I would think of. I came across with this Thai recipe from Bon Appetit. This is a simple dish to make but very tasty.
I didn’t have enough limes so I added the zest and lemon juice. For the magic sauce: soy sauce, fish sauce and sugar. So, it’s salty, sour and a little sweet. I didn’t put chiles for kiddie.
The sauce and remaining basils were added. Then, ready to serve.
Serve over rice. And just a warning, this dish consumes lots of rice. It’s a great comfort food! 🙂
